Its differential diagnosis from schwannomas, neurofibromas, and plexiform neurofibromas is essential for optimal treatment planning. Case Description: This article presents the case of a 53-year-old male who experienced stinging pain and weakness in his left hand, alongside muscle atrophy in the thenar eminence. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a brachial plexus tumor, which was surgically resected. Histological analysis confirmed a brachial plexus schwannoma (the World Health Organization [WHO] grade I). After 3 years, the tumor recurred, leading to a two-stage surgical intervention. Histological examination identified it as a PS (the WHO grade I). Adjuvant tomotherapy achieved good long-term tumor control. Conclusion: This case highlights the difficulties in histopathological diagnosis and multidisciplinary management in achieving favorable outcomes, minimizing neurological risks.","thumbnailUrl":"https://sni-digital-videos.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/8be5b29c-44df-4ea1-a6b1-e3dd2e837674/featured/hero-1781558277983.png","publishDate":"2025-10-17T00:00:00.000Z","doi":"10.25259/SNI_780_2025","categories":["Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology","Case Report"],"fullTextUrl":"https://surgicalneurologyint.com/api/articles/8be5b29c-44df-4ea1-a6b1-e3dd2e837674/pdf"}
