Kubben","Menno R. Germans","Ramazan Jabbarli"],"abstract":"Background: Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a significant healthcare problem affecting approximately 30,000 Americans annually. Delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality after SAH, occurring in 20-40% of patients. Various grading scales have been developed to predict and diagnose DCI, with the Fisher score being the most recognized. Summary: The SAH DCI app was developed to compare multiple grading scales and assist physicians in utilizing prediction models for DCI after SAH. It automates the calculation of up to seven SAH grading scales, including the WFNS SAH grade and the Hunt and Hess grade. The app has been evaluated for accuracy against manual calculations and provided identical results. Conclusion: The SAH DCI app serves as a user-friendly and accurate mobile clinical decision support tool for assessing DCI risk after SAH. It integrates multiple classification systems, potentially aiding treatment decisions and expediting the clinical application of SAH scores. Further research is needed to identify key parameters predicting DCI.
