Methods: The article discusses historical advancements in neurological science, including the development of intensive care units, imaging technologies like CT and MRI, and the evolution of microneurosurgery. It emphasizes the importance of collaboration among various medical specialties to enhance surgical outcomes and patient care. Results: The article highlights the disparity in neurological care between developed and developing countries, noting that many physicians in the latter lack essential tools and resources. It suggests that volunteerism and medical teaching initiatives can help bridge this gap and improve care in underdeveloped regions. Conclusion: The establishment of Surgical Neurology International aims to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge and resources to enhance neurological care globally. The journal encourages ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery and emphasizes the responsibility of medical professionals to 'Make a Difference' in the lives of patients.
