Case Description: Here, we report the case of a male patient with a brain abscess in the right parietal lobe that was removed under fluorescence-guidance (intravenous administration of fluorescein sodium 10%, 5 mg/kg bodyweight). The abscess capsule showed intensive yellow fluorescent staining, while − under white light − the cortex appeared normal. Conclusion: This technique may improve the identification and surgical removal of brain abscesses.","thumbnailUrl":"https://sni-digital-videos.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/6f30038e-c458-436b-9cc4-9b05bd177a93/featured/hero-1782420911017.png","publishDate":"2016-12-05T00:00:00.000Z","doi":"10.4103/2152-7806.195234","categories":["Infection","Case Report"],"fullTextUrl":"https://surgicalneurologyint.com/api/articles/6f30038e-c458-436b-9cc4-9b05bd177a93/pdf"}
