The competition aims to provide insights into how medical school experiences can influence specialty choices, particularly in neurosurgery, which is known for its competitiveness and commitment requirements. Summary: NUNC offers a unique platform for students to engage with neuroanatomy through examinations and networking opportunities. The competition includes a single best answer paper and a spotter examination, allowing participants to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. By fostering collaboration and mentorship, NUNC enhances students' understanding of neurosurgery and supports their professional growth. Conclusion: The establishment of NUNC represents a significant step in making neurosurgery more accessible to medical students. By providing opportunities for detailed dissections and national recognition, NUNC aims to inspire future neurosurgeons and challenge existing stereotypes about the specialty.
