Recent studies indicate that this technique achieves comparable or superior functional outcomes, shorter operative times, and higher patient satisfaction. However, there is a lack of published data from Sub-Saharan Africa regarding this approach. Summary: This letter presents a monocentric series of 42 patients who underwent the mini-pterional approach in Abidjan between 2019 and 2024. The study highlights the versatility and effectiveness of this technique in treating various neurosurgical conditions, including tumors and vascular malformations. The findings demonstrate low complication rates and no cosmetic sequelae, reinforcing the approach's suitability in resource-limited environments. Conclusion: The mini-pterional approach is a viable option for neurosurgery in Sub-Saharan Africa, providing effective treatment while minimizing surgical trauma. The authors emphasize the need for structured training and multicenter studies to validate these findings and promote equitable access to neurosurgical innovations across different regions.
