Traditional ethical frameworks, such as the Hippocratic Oath, are increasingly challenged by contemporary issues in neuroscience and bioethics. Methods: The article discusses the emerging field of neuroethics, which encompasses two key concepts: Ethics in Neuroscience, focusing on ethical implications in research and clinical practice, and the Neuroscience of Ethics, which examines the neural basis of ethical behavior. It emphasizes the need for specialized education in both bioethics and neuroscience. Results: Neuroethics is proposed as a dual and bi-directional concept that integrates humanistic thought with scientific inquiry, addressing a wide range of ethical topics in neuroscience. The necessity for enhanced ethical education in health training is highlighted, as ethical decisions should align with the moral conscience of individuals rather than solely legal mandates. Conclusion: The concept of neuroethics is positioned as a vital framework for guiding ethical decision-making in neuroscience, emphasizing the importance of humanistic perspectives in preserving individual rights and patient welfare.
