This multifunctional room supports an interdisciplinary neurovascular team and aims to enhance patient care by minimizing the complexities associated with high-risk patients. Summary: The design of an NHOR should prioritize factors such as room geometry, the arrangement of anesthesia, biplane, and surgery stations, and the mobility of the OR table. An optimal layout can improve workflow efficiency and safety, allowing for quick transitions between surgical modalities while maintaining sterility and patient safety. Conclusion: A well-designed NHOR, with a systematic organization and dedicated staff, is essential for maximizing the efficiency of neuroendovascular and open surgical procedures. Addressing potential pitfalls in design and operation can significantly enhance the overall functionality of the operating room.
