It highlights the significance of advancements in surgical techniques and imaging in improving patient outcomes. Methods: The article synthesizes findings from multiple studies, including retrospective analyses of patient data from various institutions. Each study employed different methodologies, such as stereotactic radiosurgery for vestibular schwannomas and various surgical approaches for craniopharyngiomas, to assess treatment efficacy and complication rates. Results: The reviewed studies report high tumor control rates and promising preservation of neurological functions following multisession stereotactic radiosurgery for vestibular schwannomas. Additionally, advancements in surgical techniques for craniopharyngiomas have led to improved gross-total resection rates and lower complication rates compared to previous cohorts. Conclusion: The perspectives presented in this article underscore the importance of surgical experience, technique advancements, and imaging modalities in enhancing outcomes for neurosurgical patients. Future studies are needed to further validate these findings and explore the potential of non-invasive imaging as a prognostic tool.
