Sahu","Sritam S Jena","Sudipta Mohakud","Suvendu Purkait"],"abstract":"Background: Brain tumors during pregnancy are rare, with meningiomas being the most common due to the influence of estrogen. This letter presents a case of a dural or meningeal tuberculoma that mimicked a meningioma both radiologically and during surgery. Summary: A 31-year-old woman at 37 weeks of gestation presented with visual disturbances and headaches. Imaging revealed a mass in the right occipital lobe, leading to a planned elective caesarean section followed by craniotomy for tumor excision. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of meningeal tuberculoma. Conclusion: This case highlights the feasibility of managing meningeal tuberculoma during term pregnancy through a single surgical setting, which has not been previously reported in the literature. Both mother and neonate were asymptomatic at the 9-month follow-up.
