Cote","Robert Grady Briggs","Jonathan Sisti","Gabriel Zada"],"abstract":"Background: Intracranial metastases from testicular choriocarcinoma are rare but clinically important due to their proclivity for symptomatic hemorrhage. Emergent surgical resection is often required for the prevention of neurological deterioration. Case Description: A 22-year-old male with a history of multiple recurrent metastatic intracranial testicular choriocarcinoma presented with an acute right frontal intraparenchymal hemorrhage. He had previously undergone neurosurgical intervention for resection of multiple metastases. An emergent right frontal craniotomy for tumor resection and hematoma evacuation was performed with a novel suction-camera device. Pathology confirmed metastatic choriocarcinoma consistent with the patient’s medical history. Postoperatively, the patient resumed chemotherapy and received adjuvant radiation therapy to the resection cavity. Despite these interventions, the patient continued to experience rapid disease progression. Conclusion: This case highlights the management of a hemorrhagic brain metastasis from testicular choriocarcinoma.
