This condition presents a spectrum of clinical manifestations and poses challenges in treatment decision-making due to its varied pathology. Understanding the embryology, morphology, and associated complications of LMMC is crucial for effective management. Methods: This review article synthesizes existing literature on LMMC, focusing on its embryology, morphology, treatment options, and outcomes. Illustrative cases are presented to highlight the clinical decision-making process and the complexities involved in managing this condition. Results: Two illustrative cases demonstrate the variability in presentation and management of LMMC. The first case involved expectant management of an asymptomatic child, while the second case required surgical intervention due to associated complications. The outcomes emphasized the importance of individualized treatment strategies based on clinical presentation and associated risks. Conclusion: Surgical management of LMMC requires careful consideration of the patient's clinical status and potential complications. The review underscores the need for a tailored approach to treatment, balancing the risks and benefits of surgical intervention against the possibility of conservative management.
