The evolution of computation and imaging has significantly advanced the field, leading to innovative techniques and therapies for various brain disorders. Methods: This inaugural issue reviews the techniques and pitfalls of stereotactic surgery, including radiosurgery, neuromodulation, and behavioral surgery. It aims to portray the multidisciplinary nature of stereotactic surgery and will feature contributions from a diverse Editorial Board representing various fields related to neurosurgery. Results: The journal expects to publish four supplements in its inaugural year, followed by open submissions of scientific articles. It aims to promote editorials, peer review opinions, and clinical and translational research articles to bridge bench findings with clinical practice. Conclusion: SNI Stereotactic seeks to unite the global community of stereotactic surgery through open access to knowledge, supported by industry sponsorship. The journal aims to enhance the dissemination of good science and foster collaboration among professionals in the field.
