Kubben"],"abstract":"Background: The Cerefy® Atlas of Cerebral Vasculature is an interactive electronic atlas designed to correlate 3D vasculature with surface and sectional anatomy of the human brain. It is a collaboration between the medical publisher Thieme and the Biomedical Imaging Lab in Singapore, funded by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research. Methods: The application was tested on a 2010-model MacBook Pro with specific hardware specifications. The installation process was evaluated for ease of use, and the overall user experience was assessed through prolonged interaction with the software. Results: The application features impressive image quality and allows users to select and deselect numerous anatomical structures, which can be rotated in three dimensions. However, navigation within the 3D brain model was found to be non-intuitive, and the user interface was described as cluttered, impacting readability and focus. Conclusion: While the Cerefy® Atlas is a state-of-the-art tool for visualizing the brain's vascular systems, it demands high-end hardware and suffers from usability issues that detract from the overall user experience. Improvements in usability and interface design are recommended to enhance engagement.
